Failure to pay alimony is a legal obligation of parents, and non-fulfillment of this debt entails compulsory enforcement in accordance with established legal procedures.
Compulsory Collection of Alimony
By decision of the Mirzo Ulugbek District Department of Enforcement Service, based on an enforcement order from November 2021 issued by the Mirzo Ulugbek Interdistrict Court for Civil Cases, it was established that 1/3 of the salary and other income of the debtor A.I. should be collected in favor of the claimant K.U. to provide for the maintenance of two children.
Accumulation of a Large Debt
However, because the debtor had not made alimony payments for a long time, an alimony debt amounting to 100 million UZS accumulated.
Car Sale Process
To ensure the execution of the court decision, the 'Onix' brand car belonging to the debtor was seized and parked at an impound lot. The debtor was given a legal period to voluntarily repay the debt. Nevertheless, since the debt was not settled during this period, the car was put up for an electronic online auction.
Auction Results
As a result of the auction, the car was sold, and the received 93 million 175 thousand UZS were fully transferred to the claimant to cover the alimony debt for the two children. It is emphasized that although delays in providing for the children's upkeep are possible, they will not go unnoticed, as every paid amount serves the legal right and future of the child.
