In New Uzbekistan, reforms aimed at improving the level of education for women and girls, enhancing their professional skills, and expanding their participation in state and societal governance are now showing results.
Events organized in state institutions are particularly significant because they contribute not only to enriching the knowledge and worldview of employees but also serve their personal development.
One such substantive event was the scientific and educational seminar on the topic 'The Educated Woman – A Mirror of Society,' which took place at the Customs Administration of Bukhara Region. Representatives of the 'Club of Female Entrepreneurs' under the Senate of the Supreme Majlis, the 'Oqila Ayollar' movement, the Regional Committee for Religious Affairs, and delegates from Bukhara Technical University participated in the seminar. Participants engaged in a comprehensive exchange of views on the invaluable role of an educated and knowledgeable woman in the development of the family, society, and state.
During the event, broad opportunities being created in the country to support women and girls, ensure their rights and interests, and facilitate their education, employment in entrepreneurship, and holding dignified positions in public service were discussed. It was emphasized that educated and dedicated women are becoming the driving force of social progress.
It was noted that the customs authorities pay close attention to ensuring gender equality, creating modern and decent working conditions for female employees, increasing their professional potential, and expanding their share in leadership positions. Lecturers urged female employees to constantly work on themselves, enhance their knowledge and qualifications, and master modern knowledge.
Furthermore, life advice was given regarding maintaining a balance between professional duties and family life, adopting a responsible approach to child-rearing, and continuous personal development. Practical training sessions involving qualified psychologists were organized within the framework of the seminar. Participants learned about modern approaches to maintaining mental stability, effective stress management, increasing labor productivity, positive thinking, and personal growth.
The seminar, held in the format of an open dialogue, was rich with questions, exchanges of opinions, and experiences, becoming a source of new knowledge and life lessons for the participants. Particular interest was drawn to the views expressed that an educated woman serves not only her home but also the spiritual elevation of the entire society.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Amambai Orimbaev, as well as the head of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan's People's Reception Center, Farrukh Omonov. The main subject of discussion was organizational matters.
Nilufar Reimbayevna Allabergeneva was appointed as the deputy head of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan's People's Reception Center in the Republic of Karakalpakstan. Previously, N. Allabergeneva held the position of Senior Assistant to the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Karakalpakstan for Public Relations and Legal Information.

A solemn ceremony for presenting the 'Hero of Labor' badge took place at the Union of Professional Associations of Uzbekistan in the capital. Members of the community who have made significant contributions to the country's development over many years were honored. These individuals actively participate in social life, ensuring the stability of the socio-spiritual environment in districts and settlements, and educating youth in the spirit of respect for values and patriotism.
The creation of the 'Hero of Labor' badge was initiated by the President, and it provides every recipient with broad opportunities to demonstrate their rich life and professional experience, knowledge, and intellect. Candidates recommended for this award this year were carefully reviewed by a commission studying candidates based on the principles of honesty, transparency, and fairness. This year, 1116 people across the country received this award.
According to the President's decision of July 14, 2017, on the creation of the 'Hero of Labor' badge, the number of awardees has reached nearly 9 thousand people. Furthermore, the Presidential Decree of December 28, 2016, on improving the activities of the 'Fund for Supporting Public Activities of Uzbek Heroes' contributed to elevating the system of social support for the elderly to a new level.
In this regard, systemic measures are being taken to expand the active participation of heroes in society's life, fill their free time with meaningful content, and increase their socio-political activity. Special attention is paid to the targeted study and resolution of the heroes' problems, as well as the wide use of the rich life experience of the older generation to stabilize the socio-spiritual situation in families and districts, and to ensure their active participation in reform processes.
In the foyer of the Union of Professional Associations of Uzbekistan, decorated in a festive atmosphere, the heroes awarded this year were greeted by the melodies of an orchestra of Uzbek folk instruments. Guests viewed an exhibition of famous artists and masters organized in the foyer. At the solemn event, the republican head of the Government, Deputy Chairman of the Fund's Council, Hero of Uzbekistan, Senator Sodikjon Turdiyev, as well as the First Deputy Chairman of the Fund, teacher-journalist and publicist Sharof Ubaidullaev, and Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kungirotboy Sharipov noted that honoring and respecting the elderly is of paramount importance in the process of national renewal.
On a large monitor installed in the center of the stage, photos of meetings between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and members of the fund, as well as various videos about the public activities of the heroes, were displayed. The 'Hero of Labor' badges were solemnly presented to representatives of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, members of the Senate of the Supreme Legislative Council, the Chamber of Legislation, the Medical Department under the Administration of the President, the Content Preparation Center for Mass Media under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, employees of the Ministry of Justice, employees of the General Prosecutor's Office, and employees of the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The celebration was also adorned with songs by famous national artists and beautiful dances performed by musicians. During the ceremony, Zulaykho Makhamova, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Chairwoman of the Committee on Family and Women, delivered a speech.
The role of women is invaluable in the development of society, the well-being of the family, and the upbringing of future generations. Therefore, supporting women, strengthening their social protection, ensuring employment, and involving them in entrepreneurial activities have become one of the most important tasks of state policy in the country.
Currently, the 'Women's Passport' system demonstrates itself as an effective social mechanism that brings real changes to the lives of thousands of women, helping them solve problems and realize their aspirations.
Within these noble goals, a large-scale event under the slogan 'The Value of Women is the Pillar of Society' was organized in the Olotsi district of Bukhara region. Important initiatives aimed at comprehensive support for women included those involved in the 7th stage of the 'Women's Passport' system, ensuring their employment, strengthening their health, and increasing their legal literacy.
At this event, held at the district's 'Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment,' participated Shavkat Zhavlonov, head of the regional headquarters for organizing the 7th stage of the 'Women's Passport,' as well as Nargiza Ne'matova, head of the Olotsi district, and representatives of several state and public organizations. During the event, a job fair, an exhibition of labor resources and equipment, medical examinations, psychological consultations, and legal aid were organized.
This provided participating women with the opportunity to simultaneously find a job, start entrepreneurial activities, undergo a medical examination, and receive consultations on legal issues of interest to them. The central point of the event was the issue of ensuring women's economic independence.
Specifically, 82 women included in the 'Women's Passport,' depending on their social status, were familiarized with vacant job positions and given the opportunity to choose suitable types of employment. Furthermore, participants were provided with detailed information about self-employment opportunities, launching small businesses, and family entrepreneurship based on preferential credit funds. The exhibition of labor equipment and production tools generated great interest among women wishing to start a business. Specialists gave them practical recommendations on drafting business plans, product manufacturing, and entering the market.
Significant attention at the event was also paid to women's health. 82 participants underwent medical examinations, and doctors provided recommendations regarding their health status, as well as conducted educational work on early disease detection and preventive measures. Moreover, 42 women received medico-psychological consultations to improve their emotional state, help overcome life difficulties, and strengthen their faith in life.
An important part of the event was legal assistance. Women were provided with legal consultations on labor relations, entrepreneurial activities, loan acquisition procedures, property rights, and social guarantees. Specialists carefully reviewed each appeal and explained the specific mechanisms for solving problems, which contributed to increasing women's legal awareness and expanding their opportunities to protect their interests.
An open dialogue was held during the event. Appeals from women regarding social and economic problems were listened to attentively, and responsible organizations were assigned tasks for their resolution. Such dialogues play an important role in strengthening trust between the population and state institutions, as well as in promptly solving problems and ensuring human interests.
One of the brightest moments was the solemn awarding of women who changed their lives through their own labor and striving. Women who previously received financial assistance through the 'Women's Passport' but subsequently launched their own businesses and created a stable source of income for their families were presented with letters of gratitude and valuable gifts by the district head. This recognition not only highly valued their work but also served as a powerful source of motivation and inspiration for other women.
