XAG has introduced its new series of agricultural robots, the X Series, and the unmanned lawnmower RM80, designed to solve last-mile challenges in farm automation. These devices provide autonomous spraying, self-charging, and chemical mixing capabilities.
On July 6th, the XAG Agricultural Robotics Conference 2026 was held at the XAG Superfarm in Guangzhou. The event showcased the X Series agricultural robot system and the RM80 unmanned mower. This launch signifies a strategic transition from using individual automated machines to creating a fully autonomous workflow system for agriculture.
XAG describes the development of agricultural drones in three stages: Version 1.0 required manual control, Version 2.0 achieved autonomous flight and spraying, and Version 3.0 extends automation to auxiliary tasks such as charging, chemical mixing, replenishment, and cleaning. The new X series embodies this 3.0 vision by integrating three components: the X series agricultural drone, the XA1 drone docking station, and the LM1 intelligent chemical mixing and replenishment unit.
The drone itself is equipped with the SuperX 5 Apex intelligent controller, which features doubled computing power, along with a perception system combining a next-generation 4D radar, a vertical radar, and wide-angle vision. The detection accuracy for power lines exceeds 90%, dual cameras provide a 360-degree panoramic view, and mapping efficiency has increased by 100%, allowing surveying of up to 300 hectares in a single mission cycle.
The XA1 docking station includes a mobile dual-antenna RTK base station for high-precision positioning even in complex conditions of electromagnetic interference or lack of network coverage. Upon return, the drone automatically docks at millimeter level thanks to high-precision close-range positioning, enabling automatic charging and fluid replenishment connection. The B18630 intelligent battery charges to full capacity in just 3.5 minutes and is rated for 4000 usage cycles. The LM1 chemical mixing unit can process up to eight independent liquid sources simultaneously, utilizing high-precision weighing sensors for quantitative mixing. Maximum replenishment flow reaches 60 L/min, and the system supports a one-click deep self-cleaning function for hoses, nozzles, and tanks after job completion.
In addition to the aerial system, XAG introduced the RM80 unmanned lawnmower. This electric vehicle weighs 143 kg, features a lightweight aluminum frame, a ground clearance of 270 mm, and four independent motor wheels providing a continuous power of 8 kW. It operates on the SuperX 5 Ultra control system, which includes trajectory memory, route planning, automatic return, and cruise control management with a single click. XAG's expansion from aerial to ground robotics reflects a broader vision: true smart farming requires the coordinated operation of multiple types of robots to perform spraying, surveying, mowing, and logistics. By integrating individual automation capabilities into a unified workflow, XAG transforms agricultural robotics from single-function tools into permanent nodes of the production system.
