Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has officially announced that 30-year-old rider Brad Binder will not be part of the team lineup next season, meaning his departure after the conclusion of the 2026 MotoGP season.
New KTM Team Lineup
In light of this, KTM has stated that Fabio Di Giannantonio will take Binder's place in the factory team alongside Alex Márquez in 2027. After a period of uncertainty regarding his future and unsatisfactory results, Binder is now focused on securing his spot in MotoGP.
Current Championship Situation
Currently, Brad Binder ranks 13th in the overall standings of the 2026 championship, having accumulated 58 points and secured no podium victories. The championship leader is Jorge Martin from Spain with 193 points, while Marco Bezzecchi (186 points) and Fabio Di Giannantonio (177 points) hold second and third places, respectively.
Binder's Career at KTM and Previously
Since joining KTM in 2020, Binder has consistently finished in the top six of the championship. His best season was in 2023, when he achieved two victories and finished fourth in the standings. Improved technical support from KTM helped him secure five Sunday race podiums and two sprint race wins, significantly boosting his reputation. However, last year Binder dropped to 11th place in the overall standings.
Rider's Overall Experience
In his seventh MotoGP season, Binder has already achieved two victories and 11 podium finishes from 124 starts. Before moving to MotoGP, Binder spent five seasons in the Moto3 class, culminating in a world championship title, after which he advanced to Moto2. He then spent three seasons in Moto2 starting in 2017, finishing in the top ten each year before transitioning to MotoGP.
