BMW Motorrad has expanded its line of top big trail motorcycles in the Brazilian market with the introduction of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Premium in the Triple Black ASA variant with Low Kit. This model is manufactured at the Manaus (AM) plant and has a suggested price of R$ 156,990.
This new configuration replaces the previous one that offered the Low Kit manually. Currently, the bike incorporates the Automated Shift Assistant (ASA) system, an automated gearbox developed by the German manufacturer. This technology eliminates the need to use the clutch lever, performing gear changes automatically, although the rider retains the option to change gears manually via the conventional pedal.
A notable aspect of this version is the Low Kit, which combines the Comfort suspension adjustment with a lower seat. This system has the ability to automatically reduce the motorcycle's height by up to 50 mm, whether during stops or when maneuvering at low speeds. This feature makes it easier for shorter riders to place their feet on the ground more comfortably, without compromising off-road performance.
In terms of engine, there have been no changes. The R 1300 GS Adventure continues to be equipped with the 1,300 cc boxer engine, which generates 145 hp and 14.9 kgfm (equivalent to 149 Nm) of torque. As a top-of-the-line package, the bike comes from the factory with a Triple Black darkened finish, Akrapovic exhaust tip, high windscreen, and luggage rack support. Furthermore, it features Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and front collision warning and blind spot systems (for lane change).
At the end of June, BMW had already launched the 'conventional' version of the BMW R 1300 GS, which began including the Akrapovic exhaust tip as standard equipment, in addition to presenting new color options and making the ASA automatic gearbox available in other models. Manufactured at the BMW Group unit in Manaus, this motorcycle is considered an important reference in the big trail segment in the country.
Launch prices start at R$ 115,990 for the Sport version. Price ranges include R$ 129,990 for the Premium Trophy version and R$ 131,990 for the Triple Black. The Premium ASA version presents prices of R$ 139,990 for the Triple Black and R$ 145,990 for the Option 719, which represents the most expensive configuration in the line.
Production remains centralized in Manaus. Since its inauguration in 2016, this unit has functioned as the only BMW Motorrad factory dedicated exclusively to motorcycle production outside of Germany, being responsible for approximately 99% of the brand's national portfolio. The GS family has consolidated its fame for long-distance travel and off-road use since the arrival of the R 80 G/S in 1980.
