Premier Energies announced on Tuesday that it received orders for the supply of solar cells and modules totaling 3011 crore rupees in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, corresponding to a capacity of 1846 MW.
Delivery Schedule and Clients
Deliveries under these contracts are scheduled during fiscal years 27 and 28. The company specified in its statement that the customers include power producers, module manufacturers, engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies, as well as other clients.
Expansion of Production Capacity
Premier Energies is actively increasing its production capabilities. Recently, its module manufacturing capacity was increased from 5.5 GW to 11.1 GW. Furthermore, it is expected that by September of this year, the solar cell manufacturing capacity will grow from 3.6 GW to 10.6 GW.
Investment and Development Strategy
Chiranjeev Saluja, Managing Director of Premier Energies, noted that these new orders confirm the company's leading position, which has been achieved through investments in new technologies, scaling, and product quality. As part of a capital expenditure plan exceeding 12,000 crore rupees, the company plans to invest approximately 6,000 crore rupees over the next three years in its ingot and wafer production capacities. This plan also includes entering new markets such as inverters, batteries, and transformers.
