Several years ago, Toshloq was a region focused on agriculture. Excluding the cotton processing enterprise, there were no drivers in the fields of industry, horticulture, and services in the region.
Today, Toshloq has become one of the major industrial centers of the Fergana region. According to Iqboljon Mirzarahmonov, senior specialist of the Toshloq district administration, 242 industrial enterprises operate in the district. These enterprises produced 2 trillion 188 billion soums of industrial products in 2025. It is planned that in 2026, the volume of industrial products will increase by 111%, reaching 2 trillion 700 billion soums. To achieve this, all industrial enterprises are regularly inspected, and they are provided with assistance in solving emerging problems.
Enterprises producing textiles, building materials, energy, and metallurgy operate in Toshloq. However, it is emphasized that it is important for activities to be conducted by both large and small enterprises. An example is given of the private enterprise 'Shukrulloh Taraqqiyoti', which built a factory for plastic products on a small territory in the district's industrial zone. Currently, about 14 people work there, and the products are in demand in all homes of Fergana due to their quality, affordable price, and durability.
Behzod Topvoldiyev, head of the private enterprise 'Shukuru Taraqqiyoti', reported that they produce over 30 types of products, mainly targeting the domestic market. The turnover achieved this year reached 2.5 billion soums. It is planned to produce 10 new types of products, and orders for equipment have been placed with partners from China, which will lead to a significant increase in assortment by the end of the year. The entrepreneur lacks raw materials, as any type of granules can be delivered from Uzbek factories. Modern equipment and machinery were purchased in Germany and China, and the end consumer is the buyer.
Behzod Topvoldiyev also noted that his enterprise will pay over 350 million soums in tax revenues in 2026. Toshloq currently has two industrial zones operating. One of them is called 'Taraqqiyot', where large projects are implemented. Iqboljon Mirzarahmonov specified that a total of 120 hectares of land has been allocated in the district's industrial zones, and all necessary infrastructure has been created. A new metallurgical plant project worth 120 million dollars is being launched in the small 'Taraqqiyot' industrial zone, which will provide 500 jobs. The first stage of this project will begin this year.

New changes have begun on the streets of Tashkent related to dedicated bus lanes. These lanes are now being cordoned off not just by lines, but by special delineators. The question arises about what penalty will follow a driver who enters such a lane, and whether penalty points will be taken into account. The initiative to divide bus lanes with delineators in the city is aimed at solving urban traffic issues. Experts are discussing whether this is an additional restriction for drivers or an effective solution for speeding up public transport. Specialists on these issues were surveyed.
A new bridge is under construction in Baghdad. This project is related to the 'Silk Road' route, which starts in the ancient capital city of Xi'an, China, passes through Kashgar, then through Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan. After that, the route continues through Margilan, Baghdad, Kokand, and ends in Tashkent.
Specialists conducted a thorough study of the situation and concluded that the existing two-lane bridge in Baghdad no longer meets current needs. The decision was made not to repair it, but to build an entirely new structure.
Currently, work at the entrance to Baghdad is active. Workers are installing structures, while in other areas, strong reinforced concrete piles are being driven. According to Farrukh Mavlonov, master of MChZh 'Romitantrans', the bridge will be 174 meters long and cost 43 billion soums. Currently, 40 builders are working, and on this day they are installing piles.
The original bridge was built almost 60 years ago and functioned flawlessly, handling traffic both in 50-degree heat and on days with temperatures of minus 27 degrees. However, due to the effects of time, the reinforced concrete began to deteriorate. Cracks and displacements were observed in some places.
The company 'Romitantrans', which won the tender for the bridge construction, states that the structure designed by them will last for a hundred years. Thus, a new bridge is being built at one of the intersections of Baghdad in the city of Farghana, where population density is high and the transport system is overloaded.
