During the operational event, which involved employees of the Internal Affairs and Customs Departments of the region, it was established that a woman residing in Beshbola MFI of the city of Farghona had hidden about 5 kg 936 g of 'hashish' in a small bag for subsequent sale.
It is important to note that this woman was previously convicted in a case related to narcotic substances, but she did not learn from her mistake. Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against her under Part 5, Clause 'a' of Article 25,273 of the Criminal Code, and measures are being taken to identify her accomplices within the framework of investigative actions.
In Urganch, the Deputy Chairman of the Customs Committee, Nodir Musamukhamedov, held an open meeting with entrepreneurs operating in the Khorezm region. More than 70 entrepreneurs participated in the event, presenting their questions, existing problems, as well as various proposals and initiatives.
Regional representatives of the Khorezm regional government, the regional prosecutor's office, as well as seven ministries and departments directly related to foreign economic activity were also present at the meeting. Deputy Chairman N. Musamukhamedov emphasized that such personal meetings are being held sequentially in all regions of the country, confirming the priority of state policy for comprehensive support of business entities.
He noted that the attention given to the development of entrepreneurship by the President is particularly noteworthy. Musamukhamedov stated that entrepreneurial activity in Khorezm has turned into a powerful force, as small and medium-sized businesses are actively developing in this region, which is remote from logistics chains and has limited natural resources.
During the meeting, current issues in the field of entrepreneurial activity were studied, and proposals for improving foreign trade were voiced. N. Musamukhamedov stressed that thanks to the diligence and entrepreneurial potential of the residents of Khorezm, significant changes are being observed in the economy of the region. He reported that if eight years ago the export of industrial products amounted to only 11 million dollars, today this figure has reached 179 million dollars, which is almost 16 times more.
Large-scale reforms are currently being implemented aimed at achieving an export volume of industry and fruits and vegetables of 463 million dollars and increasing the volume of foreign direct investment by 1.5 times while fully utilizing existing opportunities. At the same time, entrepreneurs who develop promising projects and business plans contributing to economic development are of particular importance.
As part of the event, a group of entrepreneurs who have made a significant contribution to the development of the region's foreign economic activity and shown high results were recognized. Among those awarded: Nargiza Bekmuratova, head of the enterprise 'ARTATEX', was awarded the title of 'Best Female Entrepreneur'; Elyor Dushamov, head of 'EUROTEKS', received the title of 'Best Exporter'; Ravshan Turabayev, head of 'SILKWAYTEX', was recognized as the most effective user of the 'processing in customs territory' regime; and Alibek Ishchanov, head of 'UZXCMG', received the nomination 'Most Disciplined Participant in Foreign Economic Activity'. Furthermore, it was announced that the enterprise 'Urganch Bahmal' received the status of an authorized economic operator, confirmed by the certificate obtained by the company's head Umrbek Bekchanov.
During the meeting, current issues of participants in foreign economic activity were discussed in detail, and clarifications were provided regarding the ongoing reforms, benefits for entrepreneurs, and new opportunities. The proposals put forward by entrepreneurs and the problems arising in practical activities were subjects of discussion, and corresponding tasks and further steps for their resolution were determined.
In several districts of the city and region of Tashkent, electricity supply has been fully restored. The outage occurred due to a malfunction at the Yuksak substation.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Energy, the power cut happened on June 28 at 20:45 in the capital as a result of an emergency situation at the Yuksak substation. Preliminary checks showed that a technical failure occurred in the 110 kV network of this substation. Consequently, two gas turbine units at 'Tashkent IEM' with a capacity of 60 MW were taken out of service.
As a result of the incident, electricity supply was interrupted for 55 thousand consumers in the Yakkasaray, Chilonzor, Mirobod, and Uchtepa settlements of Tashkent city, as well as in the Zangiyota settlement of Tashkent region, and for some small industrial enterprises.
Energy engineers carried out prompt work to eliminate the accident, after which consumers began connecting to the grid in stages. Specifically, on June 28 at 21:50, electricity supply was restored to consumers with a load of 90 MW in the Yakkasaray, Chilonzor, and Uchtepa settlements. Then, on June 29 at 00:08, electricity was provided to consumers with a load of 50 MW in the Mirobod settlement. One minute later, at 00:09, another 8 MW of load was connected to the grid in the Yakkasaray and Chilonzor settlements. Full restoration of electricity supply for consumers with a load of 55 MW in the Chilonzor settlement and the Zangiyota settlement of Tashkent region took place at 00:25.
The established grain delivery plan for 2026 in Saihunobod district, which was set at 30,200 tons, was surpassed. Consequently, the headquarters and detachments that diligently worked during the sowing and harvesting period were awarded by the district administration.
During the award ceremony, the district hokim, Komiljon Mullajanov, emphasized that the achieved results reflect the hard work of farmers, industry specialists, and organizers. He noted that such successes in grain farming are of great importance for ensuring the country's food security.
In the current season, 65,000 hectares of irrigated land were cultivated in Viloyas Syrdaryo for autumn spring cereals. Thanks to the selection of varieties suitable for soil conditions, the use of high-quality seed material, and the widespread adoption of modern agricultural technologies, a high level of yield was achieved.
As a result, 218 thousand tons were delivered instead of the planned 215 thousand tons for state needs, corresponding to 101.2 percent fulfillment of the plan. Among the districts that showed high results, Sardobas district stands out with an indicator of 112%, Guliston district—110%, Oqoltinsky district—109%, and Saihunobod district—104%.
According to specialists, these achievements resulted from the timely and high-quality implementation of agrotechnical measures, comprehensive support for farmers, as well as the experience and diligence of grain farms. To conclude the event, letters of gratitude and commemorative gifts were presented to the headquarters and detachments that demonstrated particular activity during the grain season.
