A quintuplet was born at Maternity Complex No. 2 in the city of Andijan on July 6th. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
Birth Details
Nargiza Bekjonova, a resident of the 'Kairagachtosh' mahalla, was brought to this medical facility with a diagnosis of multiple pregnancy. Due to premature labor, she underwent a C-section.
Condition of Newborns and Mother
As a result of the birth, the woman had five children: three girls and two boys. The weight of the newborns ranged from 1205 to 1605 grams. The mother and all the children were transferred to the Andijan Regional Branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Maternal and Child Health to receive specialized medical care. Representatives of the Ministry of Health specified that the mother and the quintuplets are feeling satisfactory.
Birth Statistics
Previously, in June, a quadruplet consisting of three boys and one girl was also born in Andijan. At that time, the Ministry of Health reported that both the mother and the children were under medical observation and feeling well. According to data from the National Committee on Statistics, 879,599 live births were registered in Uzbekistan in 2025. Of the total number of such births, 859,065 cases involved the birth of a single child, 19,976 were twins, and another 558 cases were triplets or more.
