A serious error was discovered in the examination system of Kerala University. During the BSc Statistics (second semester) exam held on Monday, the answer itself was printed for one of the multiple-choice questions.
University Administration's Reaction
After discovering this error, the university administration launched an investigation. The university took the incident very seriously and requested explanations from the chairman of the relevant Board of Studies. Staff are determining how this oversight occurred during the preparation and checking of examination materials. However, those involved in creating the tickets attributed it to a minor technical error.
Examination Material Creation Process
The examination controller, Professor Gopalakumar, stated that question preparation at the university is done using a database of questions and software, which minimizes human intervention. Initially, this case was considered a result of negligence. He clarified that only part of the answer to question number 5 was printed, but it was not the complete answer.
