Obtaining a job at Google was once the dream of every engineering and technical student, thanks to luxurious offices, free food, amenities, and large compensation packages. However, the boom in artificial intelligence (AI) has radically changed the landscape of the global labor market. Now, employees earning an annual income of around 80 million rupees ($986,000 USD) are also leaving Google.
The Appeal of New AI Companies
According to a recent report by the well-known American business publication 'Business Insider', significant internal changes are occurring at Google, and employee sentiment is shifting. For instance, Yusuf Imran, who held the position of account manager at Google and had an annual package exceeding 80 million rupees in 2026, recently left the company. He stated that while Google offers high pay, the equity package at new AI companies like OpenAI (the creator of ChatGPT) and Anthropic is on a completely different level.
