Ingredients and Preparation
The following ingredients are needed for preparation: 2 cups of rice (soaked for 6–7 hours or overnight), ½ cup of sugar, 2 tablespoons of ghee, ½ cup of milk, 2–3 green cardamoms (ground), and a pinch of salt. Ghee or vegetable oil is required for frying.
First, drain the water from the soaked rice. Then, mix the rice with milk, sugar, and ghee and thoroughly blend in a blender until a perfectly smooth batter is obtained. After this, add the cardamom powder and a pinch of salt to the batter, mixing all components. It is important to ensure that the consistency of the batter is neither too runny nor too thick. The finished batter needs to be covered and left for 30 minutes.
