GIFT Nifty indicators signaled a possible positive market opening on Thursday. Asian stocks showed growth, supported by optimistic assessments of the chip manufacturing company Micron.
Asian and US Market Dynamics
Most markets in the Asia-Pacific region traded higher after American semiconductor company Micron reported third-quarter results that exceeded expectations and forecasted increased revenue for the current quarter. Japan's Nikkei 225 and South Korea's Kospi rose by 3.37% and 4.89%, respectively.
During the Asian trading session, S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures showed gains of 1.68% and 0.48%, respectively. However, overnight, the Nasdaq Composite and S&P 500 closed lower by 0.43% and 0.10%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average finished the session up by 0.35%.
Commodity Markets and Currencies
Brent crude oil prices continued to decline as long-term supply forecasts appeared favorable, and tankers left the Strait of Hormuz. The June futures contract was valued at $72.68 per barrel on the Intercontinental Exchange, representing a drop of 1.44%. Gold and silver futures traded down by 0.24% and 1.63%, respectively.
IPO Information
Regarding Initial Public Offerings (IPOs), it was noted that the Crazy Snacks primary listing will open for subscription on Thursday. This book-build offering is valued at 31.47 crore rupees and includes both a new issue and a sale offering. CSM Technologies will begin the second day of its IPO, which is a book-build offering worth 145.78 crore rupees consisting entirely of new issues, with completion scheduled for June 29.
Similarly, the IPOs of Dhanwel Hybrid Seeds and Sri Priyanka Geo Commex will enter the second day of subscription. Both are book-build offerings valued at 27.53 crore and 94.51 crore rupees, respectively. Meanwhile, the IPOs of Advit Jewels and Waterways Leisure Tourism will enter the final day of subscription. Both these book-built offerings are valued at 165.16 crore and 585 crore rupees.
