Specifically in Mexico City, the venue for the World Cup opening match and where the last match was held in the country, the National Chamber of Commerce, Services, and Tourism estimated that about 1.1 million tourists were received.
The Azteca Stadium, the stage for important events, recorded an average revenue of 2.18 million euros just from beer sales, signaling the strong stimulus to consumption and revenue that the event provided to the country.
