Turkish Airlines plans to expand its operations in South Africa by adding additional flights to Cape Town and Johannesburg. These changes will give passengers greater flexibility when traveling to Turkey and other destinations.
Flight Schedule from October 2026
Starting in late October 2026, the airline will increase its weekly schedule in South Africa from 14 to 20 flights. This will facilitate access for both business travelers and tourists wishing to reach one of the world's busiest aviation hubs.
Increase in Flight Frequency
Specifically, starting on October 25, 2026, service to Johannesburg will increase from seven to ten weekly flights. The following day, October 26, 2026, weekly flights to Cape Town will also increase from seven to ten.
These additional services are intended to enhance travel flexibility, providing South Africans with more departure options, as well as ensuring more convenient connections through Istanbul to Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. The expanded schedule simplifies finding suitable flights for any route, whether it is a city break in Europe, a safari in Central Asia, or a business trip.
