Scandal during LDC 2026 exam in Jaisalmer: Allegations of ticket leak, investigation launched

A major commotion arose in Jaisalmer during the recruitment for the Class II Clerk (LDC) position, organized by the Rajasthan State Personnel Selection Board. On a Saturday at one of the examination centers, students leveled serious accusations against the administration, claiming that an examination paper was passed outside through the classroom window, which undermined the integrity of the exam.

Official Reaction and Start of Investigation

Following the complaint, administrative services were thrown into disarray. Additional District Collector (ADC) Parsaram Sani arrived at the scene with police forces. He questioned observers and calmed the students. A detailed report was prepared based on allegations of cheating among invigilating staff and was sent to the Rajasthan State Personnel Selection Board on Monday for further action.

In fact, on Sunday, the LDC exam was held in two sessions across 19 examination venues in Jaisalmer, despite stated security measures. At the start of the exam at the Government Model School Center, students claimed that the question paper was passed to an unknown person through the window. They also accused the administration of negligence and of organizing cheating by passing papers out the window. This led to a contentious situation at the center.

ADC Parsaram Sani arrived at the scene to question observers and calm the participants, assuring them that an objective verification would be conducted. On Monday, the administration took control of the entire incident and proceeded with further actions. The ADC stated that a detailed document was compiled based on student claims of cheating among invigilating staff. This report was sent to the Board, and the administration emphasized that action would be taken against those who jeopardize the fairness of the exam according to the rules. According to the ADC, further legal and departmental steps would be taken as per the Board's directives.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the District Congress Committee and NSUI held a mass rally in the city. The protesters presented a memorandum to the district collector on behalf of the Chief Minister, insisting on the need for an independent investigation. Led by NSUI President Manaram, a large number of students and youth gathered at Hanuman Square, attended by former district head Anjana Megwal and Congress President Amardin Fakir. From there, all demonstrators marched to the collector's building, loudly chanting slogans against the state government and the examination administration. Due to the large number of dissatisfied youth, security measures were increased at the collector's building.

Furthermore, MLA Badbara Ummeda Ram Benival issued a statement, noting that the serious allegations that arose during the LDC exam in Jaisalmer cause extreme concern. He stated that some officials and education department employees, protected by the ruling party, organized the exam with violations using specially appointed observers. He noted that the incident only became known after student unrest, but instead of immediate action against the culprits, attempts were made to cover up the case. In his view, this is a direct blow to the trust of millions of young people and their future. He also expressed doubts about the role of several observers at the Shwami Vivekananda Model School examination center, pointing out that their activities had previously caused controversy during other exams. He demanded a high-level and impartial investigation into the LDC case in Jaisalmer and strict legal action against any official, employee, or other person found guilty.

Nine sets of examination materials discovered missing at Rajiv Gandhi University

A serious incident involving the theft of examination materials occurred at Rajiv Gandhi Technological University (RGPV), one of Madhya Pradesh's largest technical universities, shortly before the start of the session. The police have registered a case to investigate this incident.

Circumstances of the Theft

An exam for the subject 'Computer' was scheduled for second-year (fourth semester) students of the School of Biotechnology on Friday. However, a few hours before the exam, at 11 am, students were informed that the test was canceled. Due to the disappearance of the materials, the university has suspended examinations until further notice. According to available information, about nine sets of various examination papers are missing.

Nine sealed envelopes containing confidential examination materials were stolen at RGPV in Bhopal before the exam.' He continued that under the rule of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, mafia and thieves are so unpunished that even the future of students is not safe. Singh emphasized that this is not just a theft of materials, but a theft of labor, trust, and the youth's future.

IAS Rinku Singh Rahi transferred after conflict with block head; takes new post in Urai

Following a confrontation with the block head in Jalaun, IAS Rinku Singh Rahi was transferred. Although administrative reshuffles in the district are common, this incident caused widespread resonance in the political and administrative circles of the entire region.

A dispute arose between them, which quickly escalated into a serious quarrel. The block head claims that the SDM attempted to hit him, but the blow landed on his arm, not his cheek.
