The iPhone 16e is positioned as the most budget-friendly entry model in Apple's catalog, yet it retains robust features that compete with several leading Android devices. Olhar Digital conducted a detailed review to determine if this device meets consumer needs.
iPhone 16e Technical Specifications
This smartphone features a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a resolution of 1170 x 2532 pixels and a 60 Hz refresh rate, along with Ceramic Shield protection. Its processing is handled by the Apple A18 chip, supported by 8 GB of RAM, with internal storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB. Regarding power, it has a 4005 mAh battery, supporting 20W wired charging and 7.5W wireless inductive charging, although it does not include MagSafe support.
Design and Display
Maintaining the same form factor and dimensions as the original iPhone 16, the iPhone 16e replaces the old iPhone SE line, eliminating the physical home button. The rear design is simplified, featuring only one camera, which gives it a cleaner look compared to more expensive models. The 6.1-inch display provides an ergonomic size for one-handed use, displaying vibrant colors. However, the absence of a variable refresh rate results in a slightly less fluid browsing experience, despite the high quality of the screen.
