Other athletes were also recognized in the squad. Sophie Molincoop was appointed captain after leading Australia to the title in her first tournament as leader, and Beth Mooney took on the role of wicketkeeper after a brilliant performance in the final. England's opener, Danny Wyatt-Hodg, scored a record 302 runs in seven matches at a strike rate of 149.5. She also made the top five run-scorers, including the first century of the tournament in the match between England and Sri Lanka.

Mooney, Wyatt-Hodg's partner, scored two half-centuries in a row in the playoffs, including a crucial contribution in the final, scoring 64 runs off 49 balls. England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is included in the squad in third place, despite playing in only four matches, including the decisive match against the Proteas in the semi-final at The Oval.

Outstanding player performances

Ellise Perry continues to perform at a high level, scoring two consecutive half-centuries in the group stage. In the match against Pakistan, she scored 71 runs and took two wickets for nine runs, becoming a Player of the Match three times, alongside Wyatt-Hodg. Orla Prendergast from Ireland received recognition for leading her team to its first World Cup victory. This all-rounder scored 63 runs in the victory over the West Indies, marking her second half-century of the tournament, and took wickets in almost every match.

Nilakshi Silva from Sri Lanka was named Player of the Match twice, including her unbeaten 54 runs in the famous victory over New Zealand. She also scored 21 not out runs, helping her team defeat Scotland, which was Sri Lanka's third victory in the T20 World Cup.

Other squad members

Ashley Gardner is included in eighth place as Australia's vice-captain, contributing as both a batter and a bowler. She scored two half-centuries, including an unbeaten 53, which helped Australia complete the biggest comeback in World Cup history against India, and also showed best figures of 2/13 against the West Indies in the semi-final. Fatima Sana from Pakistan is the third captain in the squad, making a mark in the tournament. She ranked second in wickets taken with 11 catches in five games, and also scored 55 not out runs in a narrow loss to South Africa.

Near her is Molincoop, who also took 11 wickets in the tournament, as the captain achieved catches in all but one match. Sri Charani from India completes the squad, becoming the leading wicket-taker of the tournament despite playing in only five matches. The slow left-arm bowler took 14 wickets, which is second in the history of a single T20 World Cup, with the best figures of 4/19, taking at least two wickets in every match.

Darcy Carter is included as the twelfth player, a historical first for a player from Scotland. Carter scored 208 runs in five matches at the top order, including 72 not out runs against New Zealand.
