A significant step has been taken to ensure complete transparency in the donation collection system at the famous Ma-Mansa Devi Temple in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. All priests working in the temple will now perform their duties wearing pocketless kimonos to eliminate the possibility of storing funds in personal pockets.
Creation of a Supervisory Committee
Furthermore, a seven-member committee has been formed to monitor donations, cleanliness, and general order within the temple. Members of this committee have taken an oath, and it has been clearly established that strict measures, including filing a First Information Report (FIR), will be taken against any individual found violating the rules.
Announcement of the New System
This new system was announced by the Chairman of the Ma-Mansa Devi Trust, Shriman Dr. Ravindra Puri Maharaj, during an event on the temple complex premises on Monday. He emphasized that the goal of this initiative is to bring complete openness to the temple's operations and strengthen the trust of pilgrims.
