Preventing Rumors and Strengthening Control

Ravindra Puri Maharaj noted that there are current attempts to discredit major Hindu temples and monasteries across the country. He pointed to the spread of false videos and accusations against temples on social media. In response, the temple administration decided to enhance the surveillance system to eliminate any suspicions or disagreements.

New Uniform for Priests

He stated that a special uniform will be developed for the seven members of the committee who will oversee donations, ensuring that no priest can embezzle funds. If such behavior is detected, immediate action will be taken, and a police report will be filed if necessary. He added that a special pocketless uniform will be ready for all priests within the next two to three days, which they must wear during services.

Rules for Offerings

Ravindra Puri Maharaj also introduced strict rules regarding offerings and worship materials in the temple. Now, no offered coconut, flower, or other offering will be reused. He completely banned the tradition of repurposing offerings to avoid any misunderstanding or distrust among pilgrims.

Functions of the New Committee

In addition to monitoring donations, the newly formed committee will supervise the temple's cleanliness, general order, and preparations for the upcoming Kanwar Mela. The committee has been assigned special responsibilities given the expected influx of millions of pilgrims during the Kanwar pilgrimage.

Comments Regarding Ram Mandir

Referring to the dispute that arose around donations at Ram Mandir, Ravindra Puri Maharaj noted that sometimes the errors of an employee or priest are attributed to the institution's management. He argued that the head of the institution cannot be held responsible for the personal mistakes of any individual, just as one cannot know everything about a driver's or priest's conduct. He supported the General Secretary of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirtha Kshetra Trust, Champat Rai, stating that he was unfairly attacked.

Goals of the Temple Administration

The temple administration aims only to maintain pilgrim trust, protect the dignity of the temple, and ensure transparent expenditure of every rupee for the benefit of Uttarakhand and society. To achieve this goal, the supervisory committee will operate regularly, and surveillance will also be conducted via CCTV cameras, with any violations being immediately suppressed.
